Holy cow! I was 9 entries behind on your diary LOL. How interesting to get all that news at once. The one about mistakenly calling your father instead of your mother cracked me up. That's sooooooo something I would do.

Yay! She went on the potty! That's awesome and you should be proud (and compensated) LOL!

Take care!

2 days late

I love proud Mommy moments. All concern for being lame or dorky goes out the window when it comes to being a Mom. Yay for Paige!

It's good to know that it isn't just me that goes crazy when it comes to trying to have kids. People always told me that it was normal. But it didn't feel normal. It felt... ominous and depressing and I felt desperate. It was something that felt so out of my control. And to some it seems so simple. It just "happens" sometimes and other times people try their whole lives and it doesn't happen. It's just so screwed up.

I'm glad you are able to keep your head about you, this time. And I hope that it happens before you even feel a need to be upset about it. Good luck.

oh yeah, when i first wake up and miley sees me sitting on the couch i sing "you are my sunshine" but i replace sunshine with miley's name. LOL of course nobody is around when i say this and if will calls like your dogs a nut and he puts me on speaker i sing it and he says she starts licking him with her tail wagging....i wonder if dogs understand special stuff like that.

lol...men we know there different creatures

i should've gone back to bed I always copy and paste into a word document first. It it takes me too long to write an entry, when I post, MDD times out. It's not worth the risk. [myprincehascome] 2008-08-19 08:39:57

i should've gone back to bed

Your day might not have been much fun for you, but it was sure entertaining for me!

Do you think Paige might be getting just a little too much attention for not going pee in the potty? Just a thought. It's been so long since I did the potty training thing, I really can't remember how it was accomplished. But I do like the idea of getting paid for it by the hour.

i should've gone back to bed Like I said before, I don't have any advice on what to do, but I can tell you what NOT to do....  My oldest son (who's 15) thought he would try to "help" motivate her to poop on the potty, so he told her to "feed the toilet monster, he likes to eat poop, you hafta feed him."  Yeah, thanks kid...I'm sure you can guess how THAT went over.  I spent the next 3 weeks fighting to even get her IN the bathroom to take a bath, nevermind go to the potty....  I feel your pain though, I really do, lol.[doxielover] 2008-08-18 21:20:44

i should've gone back to bed You know, you're right about him.  He ever admitted to me there was still chemistry between us.  I talk the talk, but I'd never walk the walk, if you know what I mean.[claudzilla] 2008-08-18 21:18:06

i should've gone back to bed

I'm not a mom but my little brother showed me how difficult potty training is. We tried when he was like 2; we bought pull ups (he used it), we bought a toilet booster seat (which he was afraid of cause it was tall)...tried everything. We tried leaving him without any pampers/pulls ups and he went outside by the puppy and pooped!!!!NeutralShockedShocked

Basically he is toilet trained now but we waited for the correct time. I'm not a pro on this subject but i think you should wait till she feels ready.

BUT i also saw on jon&kate plus 8 that you give them an m&m if they go on the potty and stay a while and you give them 2 m&ms if they actually do something.

[charlie007angel]
2008-08-18 20:47:57

i should've gone back to bed Let's see...when did my son potty train? Not til he was three maybe three and a half. I tried to potty train him- all the tricks that you could think of and he would refuse. He was just like paige, I would sit him on the toilet, periodically, and he'd never go, then, as soon as I put a diaper on him, bam, he would go.

So you know what I did? I forgot about potty training him. I kept him in his pullups and decided that he would potty train himself. He knew where the potty was. And sure enough, eventually, with no prodding from me, he potty trained himself.

He wasn't potty trained from the bed until he was four. We never fussed about that either. And one night, he just let us know, he was tired of the pull ups at night and that he was ready to go in the potty at night. We've never had accidents, ever.

Sometimes, you gotta throw in the towel. She knows where the potty is. I really believe, that she will use it when she's ready. Maybe give her a couple more months off and see what she does then. [SteeleBlack]
2008-08-18 19:59:14

i should've gone back to bed Sarah didn't potty train till 3&1/2. We started trying and she'd sit but had no interest in going.  We did the sticker chart and everything...However, on morning (literally) she woke up, she said urgently that she had to go potty, she went on the toilet, and that was that! I didn't think she'd ever get potty trained![OneOf6BillionPeople] 2008-08-18 19:41:59

Between the two I vote for the dinosaur!

I love fall! I hate that winter follows, but I love fall. We hit all the pumpkin patches! Do you guys have corn mazes?  I LOVE those!

some random pics..well, in general, a random entry Hope you don't mind, I added you to my favorites. The pictures from photobucket didn't show up.. said they'd been moved. The costume pictures are there, though. So cute! I'd go for the pig. It's hard to tell what the dinosaur is from the front. The back is funny, though.. the dino tail -- haha! Then again, the pig feet might be slippery. If she's running around a lot, that might not be good.[Crazymixedup] 2008-08-18 08:46:04

some random pics..well, in general, a random entry

I personally like the pig.  The only 2 pictures I am able to view is the pig and the dinosaur costume.  I hate that summer is almost gone!  I haven't been to the beach at all this year, and I LOVE the water!  Raeanna is well worth the sacrifice, but next year I'm going to have to make up for the lost swimming time.
Aneurism...  I know...  David was not drinking, in fact, he doesn't drink at all...  Where he got aneurism from is beyond me...  CRAZY!!!!Shocked  His mom tends to be very much like that, over-reacting germ freak type of person, so most I can figure is that David learned that behavior from her.  I don't want him teaching our daughter to be sucha worry-wort!
Have a happy monday!

I love Summer. It is by far my favorite time of year. But... by the time Fall rolls around, I am usually able to accept it. And I too, start looking forward to the fall decorating and upcoming holidays. The opportunity to make soups and chili and that sort of thing.

I am casting my vote for the dino. Now that it's down to the two.

pms coming on I have 2 4 year old twin brothers, going on 5 in a few months, one of them is fine, uses the toilet and all that, the oter one, is lazy, he is fine during the day, but wears pull ups at night.
He has the occasional accident during the day, but only because he cant be bothered going to the toilet.
Good luck with Paige, itll happen in its own time, when she decides shes ready!

pms coming on I couldn't leave a tip if I wanted to....mine's FOUR and not 100% trained.  She did the same thing for the longest time, just absolutely REFUSED to get on the potty, any potty....grrrr...girls are DEFINTELY harder than boys.  All you have to do with a boy is either toss a cheerio in and have them aim for it or tell them to make bubbles, lol.[doxielover] 2008-08-17 20:52:17

pms coming on oh btw what exactly do you do that you work weekends? i wish i could cut down my hours but then we would literally not be able to afford anything! so im stuck paying the babysitter 680 a month and scraping by which the rest of my sh*tty paycheck

my take on the olympics LOL i just read your previous entry on jurassic woman -- i mean casanova. died of laughter. and holy hell, i did not know they were doing any trampoline events, that is very exciting. i really need to see it then. i think it's very very depressing that the government would do that, because it makes you wonder just how many in past years got away with it as well. and it's so obvious too. you'd be a fool not to notice. *Sigh*

italian in me, godchildren and declutter (PICS!) My mom was the same way. She spoke spanish but never taught me.  She also was one of 12 kids and she was second to oldest so she had a lot of responsibility cooking, cleaning etc...so when I was kid I didn't have to do anything. No cooking, no cleaning, no chores.  Having been brought up like that, I find myself being that way with Sarah too.  I'm getting better at giving her little jobs, but I often find myself doing stuff she can easily do.[OneOf6BillionPeople] 2008-08-16 18:46:10

I am doing the same thing to my Daughter. I shoo her out of the kitchen. I have a very hard time doing things with another person. I am a get out of my way and let me do it, person. But I am trying to change for her. Thank goodness for my Grandma, she does cook with her and she is really good at that. She taught me to cook. Your window shelf is so pretty...I miss having a window in front of my sink.  I felt so bad for Paige and her bruised forehead!  One of my younger brothers used to have a bruise in the middle of his forehead ALL the time for like 3 years.  I swear we have pic of him and he's bruised in EVERY one, lol.  We didn't know until he was much older that it's because he's flat-footed, thus he has ZERO balance.  I'm getting weird in the kitchen the older I get too, so this entry actually made me feel better!  Have a great weekend.

wow they are so so adorable!!
thats suckish that you didnt learn how to cook when you were younger.
im 16 and like an excellent cook. i can pretty much throw stuff together and create a master piece. and create my own recipes. my mom taught me how to cook when i was just little. i made my first grilled cheese when i was 3. of course, my dad helped me...=D.
i think thats amazing that you taught yourself how to cook. my sister-in-law never learned how to cook because, well i guess you could say she was spoiled. and my sister and i taught her how to make a cake. and my brother is teaching her how to cook. its so funny.
i hate clutter too. it sucks.
and with the whole ocd about cleaning...it happens. i clean so much when i stress or break up with a boy friend. its like you do everything to keep your mind off something. besides, its also easy to cook in a clean environment.

anyway...im finished with my babble now.

Sounds like the perfect day. I can't wait until I become a mommy. *Sigh* one of these days. Mr. Green

And obviously whoever left that comment doesn't have kids, or has never been around kids. They will always stick their fingers in the door at just the right second so you don't have enough time to react and then their fingers get smashed. It's just a part of having kids or being around kids. They get hurt, they get over it.

why don't teenagers listen? I don't know - some teenagers listen better than others - maybe it's upbringing - those that are taught and expected to listen and value their parents might fair a bit better.  In the end - we all have to make our own mistakes:)[OneOf6BillionPeople] 2008-08-15 16:05:41

why does bath time need a moderator?

My daughter loves bathtime too. Shes taken up to four baths in one day. He thinks its her pool or something but she doesnt understand we have a water bill. Try explaining that to a two year old. then she screams when I wont give her yet another bath  :(

my husband does NOT abuse my child (PICS!)   She sure loves the parkWink! She's a real cutie, and I loved the way you put her hair up....so cute! Denise does that with Lilly, and then she wanders in front of the mirror to look at it when she passes byEmbarassed. I think she already knows she's pretty.....probably because I tell her so often.

Yeah I saw that comment on your last entry.  I must admit, I laughed my ass off when I read that.  Paige, abused?  Yeah right!  From what I've read, there is NO way, no way Paul would abuse her and NO way you'd stand for that.  No matter how long you have been with him.  Obviously, she is not a regular reader of yours.

I love her hair.  I babysit a 18 month little girl, I just love to fix her hair.  I miss out on that with Ry.

why don't teenagers listen? i am 33 years old and i have seen both sides of this, when i was a teenager and got pregnant with my oldest son i would not listen to my mom for sh*t, i thought i knew what i wanted and she didn't know crap about what i was going thru..well, since i now have teenagers of my own, i see my mom's side..i have been trying to tell my girls for years, but they don't listen. now i have one step grandchild, another on the way, and my 15 yr. old step duaghter is praying she starts soon...i have told my mom several times since i got grown " i wish i would have listened to you mama.." and i know my girls will be saying that to me soon, hell, melissa has already told me that..[purplecats] 2008-08-15 11:31:29

why does bath time need a moderator? Ok that comment from skabus something or other about paul maybe abusing paige is so insane. you were not saying he is abusing her u were just complaining that guys are clumsy and would rather just watch the baby take a bath than actually get down and dirty and get involved... for G-d sakes... lol[Goingsomewhere] 2008-08-15 10:19:26

HEY!! It was nice to get your comment...I've missed you too. I'll try to do better with my updates, that way you won't fall out of your chair when you see one Laughing. Sounds like you're having a time with your hubby....I wonder if they're all like that? You've described my ex to a tee. He was so clumsy and nearly gave me a heartache on many occasions. It was also a battle to get him to do anything concerning the kids....baths, etc. Good luck....make sure it looks like an accident Laughing. Just kidding.

why don't teenagers listen? Teenagers dont listen because they need to make their own mistakes.
They need to experience the bad and grow from it.
Like your niece, im sure she has learned alot from what has happened.
And WTF, who the hell head butts anybody, let alone the mother of your child.
What a loser!!
I hope your niece is doing ok!

why don't teenagers listen? First of all, I would NEVER pick a boy like that to be boyfriend and girlfriend with and if I was her I would have dumped him when I found out he got kicked outta his house and was going to court. My BF is nice, respectful, never gets in trouble, has a GREAT family, raised right and everything. we have been best friends since kindergarten and I like him a lot. He's a really nice guy. I just wish your Niece coulda had something better.[bonjovilover] 2008-08-14 09:36:57

why don't teenagers listen?

yeah. im a teenager but that situation is screwed up.
firstly her mom is wrong for letting him move in- she should have been the responsible one and secondly she ruined her life with infatuation because i highly doubt they were in love. now she has a kid to see about and most likely the baby's loser father won't help.

IDK but i don't think i could get myself in a situation.then again never say never...so i pray i won't get myself into that kinda crap.

It's a toss up between the Dino and the pig. I like the Dino better, because it looks soft, like you'd want to run your hands over it, repeatedly... but the pig ears... Yeah... those are just too much. I love it. The bottoms of the feet are cute, too.

The Dino is footless, which is a plus, because she could have on her onw shoes. The piggy feet would get dirty...

You've got a tough choice to make. Very Happy

opinions needed Ooohhhhh!!!  I just LOVE the little piggy!!  What site did you find that on?  I might have to think about that for my little Princess.  The dinosaur is also very cute.  Last year (when she was 3) we went to Wal Mart, Target, the mall, EVERYWHERE to find the perfect Princess costume.  She didn't like ANY of them.  She finally saw this green winged DRAGON costume and fell in love with it.  Insisted on putting it on IN the store and wearing it home.  So, my point was that you might want to ask Paige which one SHE likes, cause it might surprise you.  I thought FOR SURE mine would LOVE the princess thing...boy was I wrong.  Oh, and my husband does the same freakin' crap if I get mad about anything...."Oh, must be close to THAT time again..."  Yeah buddy, close to time to smack the freaking crap outta you...lol.  Take care!
